Whenever images or audio can be directly linked to a person, the name is abbreviated to protect participant privacy. This is to prevent identity theft/deepfakes. 

The exceptions are if the images/audio are directly an integral part of the project, like for actors/actresses, voice actors/actresses, or collaborators.
