Sea just got off work, which he hates. He had a long day. But this day is just one of his usual miserable days. Walking into the subway station he goes through every day, he recalled the first time here as a kid: the familiar sights looked new, and the possibilities in Sea’s life seemed infinite back then. Sea wishes to take his current experiences to the past and change things to shape a better “present.”

The subway station granted his wishes tonight by transforming into a Maze of Opportunities. Each exit leads Sea to a different snapshot in time. These snapshots all include some “imperfections” Sea wishes to change.

In hindsight, Sea doesn’t realize that any modification would have a lasting impact — no single event on this planet is fully isolated. As the story progresses, Sea — as well as the players — would realize how one action changes the entire follow-up storyline. Sea will see unanticipated rippled effects that caused significant negative impacts on several events he loved. Sea starts to wish to have the “present” present back.

This story encourages the players that if they wish to change things, have the determination to start now — not blaming the past.
