Inspired by The Son of Man by René Magritte, this multi-media series explores exaggerated identity that hit upon me during the application process — it’s like creating a separate “me” that feels uncanny to the real me. The 4 compartments have 3 mirrors — the normal me and “me” with visualized qualities observe each other. This work presents the fragile nature of identities by visualizing familiar qualities and gathering them unfamiliarly with an obscured face, questioning who I really am.
