This work serves as a satirical response to a classmate who clarified all my future aspirations as “impractical.” All objects and scenes in this series are familiar to most, but their sizes are manipulated so that the subjects are defamiliarized. The accuracy of the photographs, combined with the absurd sizes and humorous names of each compartment, strikes the audience with several questions: What is practical and impractical? What does it take for one to think of something as practical? And what does it take for one to prove to another that something is possible, value or facts? Are things seemingly impractical, impractical? Are they somehow practical?
